At Sanofi, we believe that health is a fundamental human right. The GHU is spearheading a change in sustainable healthcare access across 40 low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where we have little or no presence. In 2025, having reached over 1 million patients with non-communicable disease (NCD) treatments, we’re making outstanding progress and helping to redefine what’s possible.
But let’s be clear: we are facing a global health crisis of unprecedented scale. NCDs are silently devastating communities, claiming over 40 million lives annually. A staggering three quarters of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. This statistic alone is a call to action.
We’re not backing down from this challenge. But we can’t overcome it alone. Our commitment is unwavering as we continue to pioneer innovative access programs, forge game-changing cross-sector partnerships, and develop novel financing models. We’re expanding access to essential medicines and empowering local entrepreneurs, all while supporting healthcare system strengthening where the need is most critical.
